Hogwarts Castle is a wondrous, magical building with many towers and turrets. It is home to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If Muggles approach the castle, all they will see is a mouldering ruin with a sign warning them to keep out, that it's unsafe. Hogwarts is built in a forested area, directly next to a fairly large lake, in the highlands of Scotland. The main entrance to Hogwarts is a set of huge oak doors which face more or less toward the west. The lake is to the south of the castle. The forest is very large, and parts of it extend around to the west of the castle.
Whether it be in the deep dungeons of the castle or the highest towers, this is where Hogwarts' students and staff live during their stays at Hogwarts.
The grounds are quite extensive, taking in a large forest, a lake, and a lot of open space. There are entrances to the grounds, through the wall enclosing the entire area. The main entrance gate is flanked by pillars on which stand statues of winged boars.

It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there. Consequently, the demand for space here is steep, and rent costs loads of Galleons. Junk Shop

Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays.
As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year.
